If a Shadow Government Ran America
When you consider the possibility that the Glob runs America, things start to make much more sense.
Imagine a shadow government running America. Suppose that cryptocracy has existed since at least 1963. It would have entrenched itself deeply by now. And it would demand that new presidents either:
A) Come from its ranks (like George H. W. Bush); or
B) Be willing to acquiesce to its requests demands.
Its three core power centers would be the CIA, the Justice Dept/FBI, and the Pentagon. The CIA’s budget is classified but is some portion of the $72.4 billion National Intelligence Budget (NIP), perhaps $20 billion. The FBI’s budget is around $11 billion annually, out of a $35 billion Justice Department budget. The FBI and CIA combined have annual operating budgets similar to those of states like Colorado, North Carolina, and Oregon. The Pentagon’s budget is roughly double that of California’s state budget, so $900 billion, yet the DoD consistently fails audits.
Neither the CIA nor the FBI—nor the Pentagon—is accountable to any authority. Members of Congress can shake their fists and threaten the power of the purse. Justices can strike gavels harder. Presidents are Commanders in Chief until their brains are blown out. Otherwise, the presidency is always an unspoken agreement brokered with the men in black. Why? De jure accountability is not de facto accountability. When it comes down to it, the CIA, FBI, and Pentagon make up a violence cartel—a sophisticated protection racket. In other words, those who control the guns, jails, and black SUVs call the shots.
And sometimes, they take them.
Let’s call this shadow government/cryptocracy The Glob, a mixture of the foreign intelligence, diplomatic, and military agencies—the Blob—and the domestic police and morphing security apparatuses—the Flob. The Glob extends its tentacles to include certain constituencies and networks. All have strong incentives to cooperate, craft false narratives, look the other way, or cover something up, so conspiracies need neither always be planned nor puppet strings pulled.
What is the Blob, and What Does it Believe?
The Blob once included the CIA, State, DoD, and DHS but has grown to include the DNC, the RNC, and an eely network of NGOs, contractors, lobbyists, and operatives, including the Mainstream Press.
It is the sum of imperial power and its vast system of incentives.
Believe it or not, the Blob has a set of six beliefs at its core, or so argues political scientist Christopher Fettweis:
The United States Is the Indispensable Nation
Without the US acting as a global constable, the world would fall into chaos. Only the US has the largesse and might to play this role. The World Is Dangerous
Adversarial players seek opportunities to impose their will, draw blood, take territory, or take revenge. Otherwise, nature abhors a vacuum.
Our Rivals Are Realists, But We Are Principled
National leaders act on behalf of their national interests, and such behavior is predictable, even calculable. Their moves are amoral or immoral, but “ours” are principled and moral, if not consistent.Robust US Intervention Mitigates Global Turmoil
Without muscular interventions and imperial bases, we’ll see the return of World Wars rather than mere regional skirmishes.
Credibility Is a Valuable Asset Worth Fighting For
If we draw a line in the sand and an adversary crosses it, we must be prepared to act swiftly and powerfully to maintain our status as a nation of principled action.Dictators Should Not Be Appeased
To avoid another World War, the Allied powers were reluctant to act against Hitler’s bellicosity—with disastrous results. As the world’s superpower, the US must always increase the cost of dictatorship, especially a dictator with expansionist ambitions.
Now, some of these beliefs are justifiable. Others made more sense at different times and places. The trouble with holding these beliefs as if in a Platonic fever dream is that context is key, civilizations decline, and reality is a bitch.
Bloated, debt-fueled budgets destroy efficiency and efficacy.
The US is no longer the sole superpower. The Dollar’s hegemony is waning.
The US has no diplomatic credibility because it has been unprincipled.
US fighting forces are jaded and demoralized, and recruitment is difficult.
The US has not enjoyed a significant military victory or successful intervention in 50-plus years.
Too often, febrile fidelity to Blob beliefs comes with corresponding perverse incentives. The Blob doesn’t operate according to risk, costs, and perceived benefits. Instead, conflict justifies its existence. The Blob doesn’t know how to prioritize resources. It operates according to its self-concept as a paladin that must spare no expense at the public trough. It’s too big to fail and, thus, too big to succeed. It will also use its six beliefs to ignore other moral, fiscal, or strategic considerations.
If an isolationist or peacenik president or candidate threatens it, it has plenty of justification and men with guns to use any means necessary to keep itself going and growing. That is why incentives aligned with JFK having to go, Trump having to go, and RFK Jr. or Bernie Sanders being pushed undemocratically to the margins.
What is the Flob and What Does it Believe?
The Flob includes the Justice Department, FBI, IRS, ATF, DEA, DHS, the DNC, the RNC, and an entangled network of NGOs, contractors, lobbyists, Big Finance, central bankers, and various operatives, including the Mainstream Press. It is the sum of domest imperial power and its vast system of carrots and sticks.
The United States is the Indispensable Nation in Domestic Affairs
Without robust domestic surveillance and strong internal security measures, the United States would face internal chaos. Only the U.S. has the capability and resources to ensure its domestic stability and prosperity.
The Homeland is Perpetually Under Internal Threat
Adversaries, including terrorists, cybercriminals, and domestic extremists, constantly seek opportunities to harm the U.S. The Flob believes in maintaining a vigilant and proactive stance to preempt and neutralize these threats.
Law and Order are Paramount
The Flob believes in strict policy enforcement, viewing government interests and popular acquiescence as the highest priorities. Actions are justified so long as they contribute to citizens’ illusion of security and well-being. Citizens will be fine if they value that sense of security over their rights and freedoms. The Flob views freedom and dissent, once Americans’ birthright, as a source of chaos.
Preventive Measures are Essential
Robust internal interventions, surveillance, and clandestine policing are necessary to prevent crime and domestic unrest. The Flob advocates for strong surveillance, censorship, law enforcement, asymmetrical financial transparency, predictive policing (precrime), and intelligence operations designed to mitigate threats before they materialize.
Authority Must Be Maintained at All Costs
The Flob emphasizes the importance of maintaining authority and credibility within the country. It believes in swift and decisive action if a threat or challenge to domestic order arises. However, such action will prioritize the government’s authority over individual rights. Hence, the Flob views circumventing the rule of law and civil liberties as necessary to serve a higher duty. Careers as technocrats wielding elite power require less accountability.
Domestic Extremism Must Be Countered
Similar to the stance against dictators globally, the Flob believes in a strong stance against any form of what it perceives as domestic extremism. It views toleration of extremist groups as dangerous, and it advocates for increased measures to counteract and dismantle these threats.
Due to the above, the Flob stays in a perpetual state of low-level martial law. Constitutional protections and due process are barriers to a higher hegemonic cause. The trouble with holding these beliefs is that the Republic is fractured, and it’s increasingly difficult to tell the difference between a patriot, an extremist, and a dissenter. Furthermore,
The US federal government is hurtling towards insolvency.
Bloated, debt-fueled budgets destroy efficiency and efficacy.
Domestic agencies will “try to preserve the problem to which they are the solution."
Domestic agencies’ mission creep has self-preservation incentives.
Domestic agencies have become weapons of partisan allies.
Domestic agencies have marginalized or rooted out those who meant their Oath.
Suppose an “extremist” group, politician, or popular movement threatens it and its beliefs. In that case, the Flob has plenty of justification and men with guns to use any means necessary to neutralize the perceived threat and keep itself going and growing. That is why incentives aligned with MLK Jr having to go, MAGA having to go, and third parties or unapproved candidates being pushed undemocratically to the margins.
The intertwining of corporate and state power presents a complex duality of visible and hidden influences. On the surface, we see the exoteric face: official policies, public statements, and formal partnerships between governments and businesses. This veneer of transparency often masks a deeper, esoteric reality where power truly resides. Behind closed doors, lobbyists, campaign financiers, and corporate executives wield immense influence over policy decisions and regulatory frameworks. This shadow realm of power brokers and backroom deals shapes the world in ways that often elude public scrutiny. The result is a symbiotic relationship where the lines between public and private interests blur, creating a system that serves the elite while maintaining a facade of democratic governance and market principles.
Cabale Internationale
We must be circumspect and skeptical about theories of billionaire clubs or cabals. Yet, given how weird matters seem to be getting—and that money can be transmuted into power—we should also keep an open mind.
John Coleman’s Conspirator’s Hierarchy details “the Committee of the 300,” a group of ultra-wealthy people bent on bringing about a new world order. The book claims the committee uses various institutions and organizations, including international banks, think tanks, and NGOs, as fronts for its activities. Coleman outlines what he believes to be the committee's plans for population control, economic manipulation, and cultural degradation. Coleman has been criticized for being light on evidence, heavy on speculation, and given to historical inaccuracy. Still, given that economic manipulation and population control have always been a Malthusian bee in the bonnets of the wealthy—including Bill Gates’s—it makes one wonder about recent events, including the origins of COVID and WHO’s illiberal Pandemic Accord, which was pushed in the aftermath.
Of course, we’re probably all aware of the Davos technocrats and their dreams of a Great Reset. The WEF seems to be a bit less secretive, but it might have a large occulted influence.
More recently, French businessman Philippe Argillier claimed an international “shadow government” composed of 38 billionaires, heads of state, and other global elites *actually* run the show. This group, claims Argillier, includes Bill Gates. Argillier has also stated that he possesses a database of sensitive information about this group and its members, which he calls the "Black Box." Argillier says this database contains evidence of corruption and wrongdoing by various global elites. However, neither these claims nor the databases have been independently verified, so many are skeptical. In one interview, Argillier claimed the group of 38 determined Donald Trump would never again be president after Trump ordered the withdrawal of troops from Syria.
I have no earthly idea whether any of these claims is true. But if such a cabal (or cabals) exists, how does it maintain its influence within (or over) the Glob? And if there are multiple such cabals, do they compete for dominance?
How Do the Glob’s *Stakeholders* Coordinate?
Coordination of the Glob's stakeholders occurs through a complex web of overt and covert interconnected mechanisms. At the foundation lies a system of belief priming and indoctrination, shaping worldviews and normalizing ideologies among key players. Incentives that reward adherence to Glob objectives reinforce this belief priming.
It punishes dissent and destroys the lives of whistleblowers.
Within this framework, small groups of need-to-know conspirators operate with heightened secrecy, managing the most sensitive aspects of the Glob's agenda. These groups leverage partisan blindspots, exploiting ideological divides to obscure their activities and deflect scrutiny.
Eric Weinstein's concept of the Distributed Idea Suppression Complex (DISC) offers insight into how the Glob stifles competing narratives and maintains control over public discourse. Couple that with
’s Censorship Industrial Complex, and you get systems that marginalize any ideas that challenge the Glob's interests, often without the need for direct, centralized control. It’s the Glob’s immune system. And one way or the other, you pay for it.A critical factor in the Glob's operation is the absence of independent oversight. With no one to investigate the investigators, accountability becomes a facade. This is further compounded by the lack of a superordinate power capable of checking the Glob's influence, allowing it to operate with relative impunity across authority’s traditional boundaries.
If you are not a Glob member in good standing, you will be pushed aside or worse.
The Glob’s Greatest Hits
Okay, so the Glob can coordinate to some degree without plans and planners, but certain things have to be set in motion by people in the highest echelons of power. In other words, if someone powerful wanted to off a beloved president whose goals were at odds with the Glob’s imperial efforts—or recruit a patsy incel to take a shot at a widely despised presidential candidate who wants to “stop the killing” in Ukraine—that someone would have to give an order.
Even though citizen investigators have discovered several curious details about the Butler, PA assassination attempt, nothing will likely come of it.
—Audio analysis and onsite witnesses indicate more than one shooter.
—Video taken at the scene shows a shadowy figure on the water tower.
—Smartphone tracking indicates a device common to Gallery Place near FBI Headquarters in Washington and to the deceased Crook’s home and workplace in the weeks leading up to the assassination attempt.
No *stakeholder* within the Glob has the authority or the incentive to investigate any other cartel member. Suppose the people oblige the investigators to investigate themselves. In that case, they will do so in a dog-and-pony-show fashion before an impotent Congress, credulous partisans, and ignorant masses—none of whom want to believe Our Democracy is a cryptocracy.
If?
Good stuff...excellent summary of what's likely, to some degree, Real...confirmed by Whitney Webb's work. BUTTT...there ARE Caveat(S):
1) the biggest Caveat is "Western Tunnel Vision"...what They (Blob, Flob, Glob, Deep State...etc, have/Are doing -- while Ignore an Increasingly Rest of the World of CONTRARY opposition to them all: Namely, Russia, China, India, Brazil...a grown BRICS...ect.
2) another BIG Caveat is...the non-hegemony FACTIONS WithIn unraveling in Eastern Europe and even NATO. Klaus, Gates, Reed Hoffman "might" have essential smug agreement over drinks/cigars & cricket-dip...but it's a very Different Vision for V-Orban, Poland, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Turkey and Argentina...who ALL Differ...as do FACTIONS even in DC Swamp (Pelosi, L-Graham, Jamie Dimon, even a renegade like Trump & RKennedy Jr). NO...Center-Core here to "hold-the-middle"...admits the Unraveling Factions of Factions.
3)the BIG caveat of "Managerial-Complexity"...von Mises was right. the Centralized State canNOT know enough about all (pricing just one) to manage a giant/complex World Market. Nor can 300 billionaires possibly have the Omniscience & Agreement to Manage a complex World...that pushes back at a 1,000 points...the Achilles Heel of managerial Socialism.
4) this #3 above brings us to Max UnderThrow...that will splinter into a Thousands of decentralized, crowdsource Underthrows beyond their control.
Which all brings us NOT to a Unified Dystopian Totalitarianism...but more like a fragmented decentralized "Chaos" of Nation-States...all seeking their Own Regional Niche of isolation&Self-Reliance With Selective Trading...more like Europe/World from 400--1648 (Westphalia)...or 1,100+ years of comparative World Peace...without a dominant World overlord. It'll be Ugly the next few decades...but the Far more wonderful in many spots/City-States...but certainly not all.
