What if everything is a network. What if all socio-economic and political institutions follow the same rules (aka protocol stacks). Then we might look at the comparisons between market driven and government controlled differently. And then maybe get the best of both worlds.
I'm not sure. But my gut says everything is NOT a network, at least not in the sense of interconnected nodes arrayed in a manner different from, say, a command hierarchy. Government authorities manage hierarchies. Market actors participate in production and exchange networks.
