A masterly summary of why societal collapse is possible.

Yet, we do our work because there is still hope to prevent the worst and as Epictetus said we must "act our part with honor. "

Emotionally, it is easier for me to focus on what we might build than on how utterly messed up the world is. (I am more of a thinker than a feeler, but I do also feel sometimes 🤣.)

I tend to agree. I have to force myself to stare at (and smell) the reality, like a corpse full of maggots. Because if I don't, the zombies of the world will just keep on believing everything they're fed.

Max, now that we got to the the biggest root problem in our world - the corruption in all of our systems and the utter lack of trust it creates - let's focus on solutions, together.

Think of all the corrupted systems we lost trust in - government, academia, media, medicine, and even science.

You Substack (and ours) are examples of decentralization of media that used to be owned by the gatekeepers of NY Times, CNN, etc. Now they are spread out to substack, youtube, podcasts, etc.

We need to do this for government. Let's do it together. You align with us and we need your help.

Yup. I look, but I have also gotten much better at compartmentalizing what I see.

Let's build a new high trust, decentralized system that optimizes for group problem solving. Everyone is starting to get this. The whole computer is hacked. We need a high trust plug in that we build ourselves.

I Like the idea, but how does it fit into awakening the totally Mind Kontrolled, a topic which needs to be addressed. I'm referring to a technological system that's so subtle, that unless one is dragged behind the facade, the curtain of reality, one is certain that such technology can't exist, but is able to, as it steers one's trains of thought, make one believe that one's thoughts ARE one's own thoughts, and no one on the operational side is going to inform any of the unknowing the truth of the matter.

Why has there never been been any research into the matter.

Mind invasive technology been in existence for @least 70 years, but this is one secret of which only governments are aware.

Can you elaborate for a poor, humble philosopher?

"the deep state has had to multiply its tendrils".... So how is this indicative of a break down? This is a hydra morphing to keep everything under its control. These are the first feeders. These are the entities with the endless black budgets. These are the entities which have the means to and do control the politicians. From their inception, the "Intel" agencies have lived by their own rules, no matter what the politicians say. Their interests align more with the crime families than the Americans whom they're allegedly protecting. And the protection they offer is akin to that offered by the gangsters selling protection to the candy store owners. These entities ARE "the Terrorists"

Whitney Webb's book were amazing on this topic.

You're right, I can't handle the truth. I see the U.S. as a Nazi Nation, now, having imported war criminals into the US. Government after WWII, spitting in the faces of the men and women who suffered and died so the "intel" agencies and their ilk could bring mass murder to the U.S. portfolio.

I've been targeted by electronic weapons most of my 14 years, finding out when the targeting become overt in 2006, when my life's work was stolen, remotely, from my computers, and I was driven from my home by inexplicable phenomena, which I later learned bore the earmarks of electronic weapons.

This is just one of the real faces of the murderous Deep State that has done it's best to supplant goodness with evil @ every turn. Seeing the political class as just another arm of the criminal conspiracy which runs governments world wide, leaves little room for optimism on a national level, though, having staved off the personal Murderers in my life for 17+ years, I'm optimistic about my own life.

The USA has never been a "democratic republic" and hopefully will never be one.

"One remaining question is whether we can stomach what we’ll find once it all falls down."

Likely not. Just ask Ghislaine or Jeffery Epstein's pals.

100%

This is why we need better organization, decentralization, and high trust transparent systems that we build ourselves, migrate to, and use to fight corruption. (like the non-profit Swarm Academy, or anything Tim Urban talks about in "What's Our Problem" such as "idea labs" or think tanks for the people).

That said, if you read Whitney Webb's books, and pull on the evidence, it is obvious just how corrupt we have become. The entire computer is hacked, and for decades we have just sat around and argued about what programs run better on the hacked computer (the hot button issues).

We need to focus on the actual computer. It is so corrupted, we need to build a high trust, transparent, decentralized plug in.

Excellent piece Max!

Recently read that Tennessee is enacting legislation that will allow nullification of any legislation that is in violation of the Constitution of the US.. Is this a reasonable step in the right direction?

Good stuff all...BUT...there are questions & caveats.

1)Rome took hundreds of yrs to "Fall"...France for a decade after Louie XVI beheading 1793...for Napoleon to seize power, a decade for the Soviet Union after 1989...how long will it take. Long-term 10-20 yr I'm optimistic...but the next decade could be very bloody! Lots! BILLIONS for the Elite to lose! which brings us to...

2) OTHER Millionaire STAKEHOLDERS of the Western Bnnking/Dollar Status Quo. Not just talking about the several thousand Rothschild, Gates, Buffet, Musk, Bezos domestic Billion Elite...OR a few thousand More in China, Europe, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia...:

BUT literally several Millions more like a close friend of mine -- 70+ retired Corp "$100s" Millions net worth to lose in Retirement & Legacy built for his family/charities. The above Deep-State collapse above notwithstanding...it will take yrs of scrambling for these (60-85 yr olds 1/10 of 1%) to Protect Their CHIPS! It's likely WHY most of them still Sneer-At-BRICS US -Dollar challenge (while secretly/discretely scrambling for viable OPTIONS)!

What a time to be alive...& see this play out the next 10-20 yrs. Might get very BLOODY! Lord have mercy

We can do it peacefully if we embrace:

1) Decentralization

2) Transparency

3) Group Problem Solving / Think Tanks / High Run Thinking

4) Repairing trust - both in systems and peer to peer
