The political class are rent-seeking grifters. They are not motivated to do what must be done now to avoid the inevitable debacle. Austerity is on the horizon.
The government's become the "Department of Gimme Gimme" – That's perfect, Max!
Neither the (Republican?) Daddy Party nor the (Democrat?) Mommy Party can kiss and make it better. The electorate has rejected the abstract lesson, so they will have to learn it on their hides.
Good article, Max. Unfortunately, we're not hearing enough of the bloody part of the coming crises because we're too comfortable in everyday life. Afraid to step out of our comfort zone. States AG's are searching for the political courage to sue Congress for not calling a convention before the end of the year because we passed the threshold (39 of 34) back in 1979. I'm reposting this article on Hunt For Liberty and linking your We Have to Clean Up the Mess to it. Keep being the lone voice in the bell tower. Mike
Yesterday, when I heard Trump say inflation was caused by Biden's energy policy, I put my head in my hands -- not because energy inputs don't affect price, but because printing money is the overwhelming primary driver and I don't think any politicians get that or want to talk about it.
